It is a mismatch when using monospace / programming fonts. It is usually rendered as a lowercase psi (ฯˆ) by those fonts. They do not implement that glyph at all. When a font lacks a glyph, the renderer performs glyph substitution or fallback. Lowercase psi (ฯˆ) gets picked because it has a descender and vaguely similar stroke — utterly wrong, but visually... inconvenient. ๐Ÿ˜‚
